The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has invited all candidates for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections in the province of Bataan to attend a peace covenant and walk for peaceful 2023 BSKE.

The event will be held on September 21, 2023 (Thursday) at 2:00 p.m. at the Bataan Peoples’ Center Capitol Compound, Balanga City, Bataan. The candidates are required to bring a copy of their certificate of candidacy (COC), wear a plain white T-shirt without any campaign mark, and refrain from any form of campaigning before, during, or after the event. They are also prohibited from using barangay vehicles and are advised to bring their own food and tumbler for water. The peace covenant and walk aims to promote a peaceful and orderly conduct of the elections and to show the candidates’ commitment to respect the rule of law and uphold the democratic process. The Comelec hopes that the event will foster a spirit of unity and cooperation among the candidates and the voters in Bataan.
